Apple Festival

Sunday, September 22nd from 11am-3pm

Move over Granny Smith, there are some new apples in town!

Warm apple pie, hand-dipped caramel apples, unique crafts, live music, and fresh produce are just a few of the offerings at our 12th annual Apple Festival!

Festivities will also include apple wine tasting, kid’s activities, and delicious restaurant favorites. An apple pie walk (similar to a cake walk but better) will be held at 12:30pm where visitors will purchase tickets and take a walk for a chance to take home a fresh baked apple pie! Proceeds for the apple pie walk will be donated to the Friends of Pere Marquette Foundation.

Bring your A game because we will also be hosting our crowd favorite Pumpkin Roll at 2pm. Participants can bring their own pumpkin or purchase one at the festival to decorate for a competitive roll down the hill in front of the Lodge. Second and third place participants will win gift certificates for the Restaurant and the fastest pumpkin will win the ultimate grand prize…a free nights stay at our historic Lodge!

If your pumpkin falls flat, there is no need to worry! You will have another chance to win a free nights stay. New this year, our Johnny Appleseed look alike contest! It’s only right that we honor the legend who introduced apple trees to Illinois! Come dressed in your best attire and the winner from our 2 age groups (0-12 and 13+) will take home a prize sweeter than apple pie!

Admission is free and this event is open to the public! How about them apples?
